Joseph Y. Bae joined KKR in 1996 and is the Co-President and Co-Chief Operating Officer of KKR. Mr. Bae has been a member of the board of directors of KKR & Co. Inc. since July 16, 2017. Prior to July 2017, when he was promoted to his current position, he was the managing partner of KKR Asia and the global head of KKR’s Infrastructure and Energy Real Asset businesses.

Alice Cho has over 25 years of experience in financial services, public policy, and corporate boards. Currently, she is Senior Advisor at the Boston Consulting Group and serves on the board of directors at First Interstate BancSystem (Nasdaq: FIBK), where she is a member of its Audit, Risk, and Technology Committees.
Clara Huh is the Senior Director of Leadership Giving at UNICEF USA. UNICEF USA supports UNICEF’s global work as a United Nations agency responsible for providing humanitarian and developmental aid to children worldwide. Clara leads the strategy, growth and development of UNICEF USA’s Leadership Circle program which generates over $22MM revenue annually.

Aaron Kim is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Valparaiso Capital Partners, an Asia-focused private equity firm regionally based in Singapore. Valparaiso invests in Asian businesses and assets that provide institutional investors with specific participation on a direct investment and non-discretionary basis. Valparaiso co-invests, acts as the sponsor, and represents principal investors for each of its projects.
Anika is a public health advocate with experience across the public, private, and intergovernmental sectors of the health field in the U.S. and abroad. Currently she serves as a Director of the Health Practice at Waxman Strategies. Anika’s work at Waxman focuses on addressing health inequities, health care costs and access issues, and public health outbreaks.

She has been an advisor to boards and senior executives on matters related to governance, leadership, and strategy for 20 years.

Byung J. “BJay” Pak is currently a Partner in the Litigation and Trial Practice group at Alston & Bird, where he concentrates his practice on white collar and government enforcement matters, high-stakes trials, and appellate matters. From 2017 to 2021, BJay served as the 25th Senate-confirmed United States Attorney for the Northern District of Georgia.

Melissa is passionate about communicating the data story to the lay public, particularly on health disparities. In recent years, she made a career shift to apply data science to the diversity, equity, and inclusion sphere after attending a panel discussion on the dearth of Asian voices and advocacy in Federal employment.
John Rim is the CEO of Samsung Biologics (a public company with $50 B valuation) on Kospi, who has scaled businesses for rapid growth from start-up to global CDMO Leader. He has built world class capabilities that increased business value through new business start-ups, building management teams, strategic business planning, and operational excellence.

Joyce Shim is the Director at Dominican University’s School of Social Work where she is also a tenured, full Professor. As director, she oversees the school’s operation, budget, curriculum, personnel as well as its strategic planning and accreditation. As faculty, she teaches graduate courses such as Global Family Policy, Social Work Research Method, Program Evaluation, and Race and Ethnicity in the US Social Policy, among others.

Massachusetts General Hospital
John H. Shin MD, is an American Board of Neurological Surgery certified attending neurosurgeon at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Associate Professor at the Harvard Medical School. Dr. Shin is an internationally recognized thought leader in spine surgery and treats the full spectrum of complex spinal disorders.
Young Yoon is a construction litigation attorney, based in the Mount Laurel office of Parker McCay. Young has significant experience with auto property damage lawsuits through trial or settlement. Young’s background also includes residential and commercial real estate transactional work. While in law school, Young worked with the Community Health Law Project in Collingswood, where he handled matters involving developmentally disabled clients and tenant rights with regard to housing habitability.
