WASHINGTON, D.C. — June 15, 2026 —The Council of Korean Americans (CKA) announced today that its Board of Directors has unanimously elected Catharina Min as the organization’s new Board Chair. Min succeeds Angela Killoren, who was recently appointed CKA’s President after serving as Board Chair and Interim President.
Min is a co-founding member of CKA and previously served as its second Board Chair. She rejoined the Board last year and has co-led CKA’s Women’s Affinity Group for many years, building it into one of the organization’s most attended programs, online and in person.
“Catharina has been part of CKA’s story from the very beginning,” said Killoren. “Her passion for the organization’s mission, paired with the incredible insights that she brings as a key builder of CKA, make her leadership invaluable as we chart the future of CKA.
“I do not take this trust lightly,” said Min. “My first priority is to hear from our members and stakeholders — their thoughts on our mission, our priorities, and what excites them about where CKA can go. I want to do this together, and do it in a way that makes CKA the best it can be for our community.”
Min is a Partner at Covington & Burling LLP, where she represents high technology and life sciences companies from the U.S. and Asia in domestic and cross-border transactions, specializing in mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, and strategic alliances. She has been recognized by the Korean American Bar Association of Northern California with its inaugural Trailblazer Award and named among the National Diversity Council’s “Top 50 Multicultural Leaders in Technology.” She received her B.A. and J.D. from the University of Virginia, where she served as an editor of the Virginia Law Review.
