The Korean American Association of Greater New York (KAAGNY) has announced its inaugural summer internship program for high school students. The KAAGNY Internship prioritizes learning and community engagement while providing students with an introduction to community organizing by providing work experience creating graphics and press releases.
Over the course of six weeks (July 13th to August 21st), KAAGNY interns will be able to:
- Receive supplemental materials, recorded lectures, and resource to help students become well-versed in current events and history
- Attend professional workshops intended to help students with resumes and college admissions
- Work on weekly tasks and projects
- Complete a published and researched personal capstone essay
All high school applicants (Grades 9-12) from the NYC and Tri-state area (NY, NJ, CT) are encouraged to apply. This is a wonderful and unique opportunity to cultivate a better and more well-rounded understanding of community engagement and the Korean American community itself. The application is now live and will be open until July 8th.
You can find out more about the internship along with the application here.
Please feel free to share this opportunity with any student who may be interested in applying.
