Renee previously served as the Acting Director of the GPA Office of Planning and Events at the Department of State and as Advisor in the Office of the Chief of Staff at the White House to the Deputy Assistant to the President and Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Senior Liaison. She joined the Department of State as a Presidential Management Fellow in 2012.
Prior to joining the Department of State, Renee served in the U.S. Air Force as a public affairs officer in the Republic of Korea, Hawaii, various locations in the Indo-Pacific region, and in the District of Columbia Air National Guard. She currently serves as an air attaché in the U.S. Air Force Reserve. She earned her bachelor’s degree in communication and her military commission from the University of Washington and a master’s degree of public diplomacy from the University of Southern California. She speaks Korean and French.
