She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Anthropology with a Minor in Communication Studies from West Virginia University, where her academic pursuits ignited her interest in understanding human behavior and communication dynamics. Building on this foundation, Lakeya furthered her education by obtaining a Master’s Degree in Public Health with a Concentration in Environmental Health, demonstrating her commitment to addressing pressing societal issues.

Prior to her tenure at CKA, Lakeya honed her administrative skills in various capacities. Notably, she served as a Lead Registrar at American Public University Systems, where her meticulous attention to detail and organizational prowess played a pivotal role in maintaining efficient registrar operations.

Over several years, she has lent her expertise to numerous nonprofit organizations, offering invaluable support in day-to-day operations, program development, event coordination, and more.
