Jeong-Hwa “June” Lee is a partner and co-chair of the international law group at Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough, LLP.

Ms. Lee counsels and serves as general counsel for numerous inbound Korean and European companies in connection with initial site selection, tax incentive negotiations, foreign investment issues, corporate structure, labor and employment, government regulatory issues and litigation management. She regularly assists local economic development authorities in training new foreign-owned companies on doing business in the U.S., OSHA compliance and employment and union issues.

Ms. Lee is a past President of the Korea-Southeast US Chamber of Commerce and the founding President of the Korean American Bar Association of Georgia. She has served on numerous boards of various professional and non-profit organizations that promote the welfare of Korean Americans and relations between Korean and U.S. businesses. Ms. Lee has also served as advisor to the Chollabukdo Province of Korea and as editor of the Business Law Today, published by the American Bar Association.

Passionate about women’s issues and mentoring young Korean American professionals, Ms. Lee frequently speaks on these issues and currently serves on the boards of International Association of Korean Lawyers, Council of Korean Americans, and Sisters by Choice.

Ms. Lee earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Georgia School of Law, where she served as Executive Articles Editor of the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law. Before starting her legal career, she was a public school teacher for nearly a decade and has a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Tennessee, a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Troy State University, and attended Teachers College of Chonnam National University in Korea (Honorary Bachelor’s degree) .

Ms. Lee is a proud mother of three grown and almost grown children.
