Dr. Jeff Kim, Ed.D, NBCT, MPH, has worked in schools for the past 20 years and has served in many roles, including induction support provider, department chair, administration, instructional coach, and civic lead. He is currently teaching in the Anaheim Union High School District at South Junior High School and the online Cambridge Virtual Academy as a History teacher and serves as the 5Cs Instructional Coach. He is also a school board member for the Irvine Unified School District. Under his leadership, his school has earned the Civic Learning Award of Excellence through the Judicial Council, PAL Outstanding Program of Year, and Advisor awards from the Orange County Department of Education, Bridges Distinguished School Award from OC Human Relations, and the California Democracy Accreditation. He has authored a Korean American Studies and Asian American Studies Course for his district. Dr. Kim also serves as both master’s teacher and a part-time lecturer at Cal State University, Fullerton, training the next generation of teachers and educational leaders. He is also the founder of a YT Channel, EdFamily. Dr. Kim earned his Educational Doctorate in Educational Leadership with an emphasis in Teacher Education in Multicultural Societies at the University of Southern California and is a National Board Certified Teacher. He was awarded the Roy Erickson Civic Education Leadership Award by California Council for the Social Studies in 2021. He has been married to his wife, Dr. Stephanie Kim, for the past 20 years, and together they have five children.
