Hana Sexton is the founder of the first non profit in America dedicated to raising awareness about Koryo Saram Koreans. She is also the first Koryo Saram Korean- American to join the Council of Korean Americans.

Hana grew up in Kazakhstan and received her MBA in South Korea. Married to a former American diplomat with extensive experience in both South and North Korea, Hana has also lived and worked in Russia, Pakistan and India. Her own background, as well as her work and life experiences in these countries, has given her unique insights into the challenges faced by ethnic minorities around the world and motivated her to contribute to the future well-being of all Korean Americans.

In addition to raising awareness about Koryo Saram Koreans at festivals and other public events, Hana has been certified in India as a yoga instructor, travelled extensively across the United States by automobile, and is a dedicated hiker, having summited over a dozen of Colorado’s “fourteeners” (mountains over 14,000 feet), including Class 3 scrambles.
