As the Head of Sustainability Group, Ellen leads the firm’s sustainability strategy and its integration with the firm. She is responsible for ensuring that we attract, retain, and motivate world-class investment talent dedicated to the firm’s sustainable-investment capabilities. She has broad oversight for growing our sustainable investment business and acts as a fiduciary for the clients in overseeing the investment teams and processes. She also plays an important leadership role working cross-functionally on key sustainability initiatives for the firm.

Previously, Ellen was a Director in the Investment Boutiques group overseeing Fixed Income and Equity teams, including the Global Impact Team (2016-2023). She played a critical role in ensuring that the investment teams had the investment capabilities, fiduciary oversight, and infrastructure to meet the evolving needs of the clients. She was also instrumental in launching a successful CLO issuance business. Before this, she was an Investment Director within Equity Product Management (2012-2016).

Prior to joining Wellington Management Company in 2012, Ellen worked at Russell Investments, where she was an asset allocator and lead analyst for international and global growth-oriented manager search (2007-2012). Before that, she was an equity analyst covering PC, disk drive, and EMS stocks at Prudential Securities (1999-2003) and Lehman Brothers (1997-1999).
