Edward Shim is a Senior Vice President at Merrill Lynch in Beverly Hills, where he advises high net worth private clients, foundations, and endowments. Before joining Merrill Lynch, Edward worked for an investment management firm, Capital Group, headquartered in Los Angeles as an investment counselor and JPMorgan in Los Angeles and Singapore, where he led the Financial Sponsors and Hedge Funds team in Southeast Asia for the JPMorgan Private Bank. He started his financial services career in 1995 with Morgan Stanley as a Financial Advisor in Southern California. Edward holds a B.S. in Biochemistry from Atlantic Union College and an M.B.A from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business. Edward serves as board director and chair of the investment committee for the LAFD Foundation.
