David Y. Kim is a children’s court attorney running for office in California’s 34th Congressional District. As a grassroots candidate who refused to accept any corporate PAC money, David won 49% of the total general election votes in November 2022 against the current incumbent despite being outraised 10x by the latter’s campaign warchest of corporate PAC money. Throughout his career, David has fought for the underrepresented and the most vulnerable parents and families in Los Angeles County, as a children’s court attorney and an immigration attorney. Prior to these two positions, he also litigated labor and employment cases, represented working class creatives, and fought against corruption in his city. He currently lives in Koreatown, Los Angeles, with his dog Tata, and would be the first Korean American Congressmember to represent Koreatown Los Angeles and its district, if elected.
