Dr. Bang was appointed as an assistant professor to AUM. He holds his master’s and doctorate degree in Management Information Systems from the University at Buffalo after 10 years of experience in various positions such as programmer, DBA, system engineer, and project manager in the IT industry. His main research topics are Big Data, Social networks, Text Mining, and Opinion Mining. He has published 10 conference proceedings and 5 journal articles. His representative journal article is “The Egyptian Protest Movement in the Twittersphere: An Investigation of Dual Sentiment Pathways of Communication,” published by the International Journal of Information Management, a top journal in the IS discipline.
