Catherine Shin is a senior UN diplomat who has worked in the peace and security, human rights, and development pillars for over two decades in ten countries including Cambodia, Egypt, Nepal, Yemen and South Sudan with a focus on conflict prevention, mediation and peacebuilding. She is currently working in the UN peacekeeping mission in South Sudan and prior helped to establish the UN special political mission in Yemen. She is called to the New York state bar, has worked in private practice and served in legal aid organizations in the US and Asia.
