Betty Y. Chung is a former U.S. diplomat and the Managing Principal of Jeong Pacific Advisors LLC, bringing over twenty years of experience advancing diplomacy, development, and strategic cooperation across the Indo-Pacific. As the daughter of a North Korean refugee and a legacy of post-war U.S. development assistance to South Korea, her heritage drives a lifelong dedication to fostering resilient collaborations that promote peace, justice, and regional stability.

Throughout her career, Ms. Chung has guided multinational teams through complex crisis management and conflict prevention initiatives, successfully leveraging public-private partnerships to achieve sustainable commercial and development solutions. Driven by a commitment to civic engagement, she mentors next-generation leaders and supports reconciliation efforts on the Korean Peninsula. A NetKAL V fellow, Ms. Chung holds degrees from Brown University and the George Washington University Law School.

Ms. Chung applies her executive governance expertise as a founding director for the American Chamber of Commerce in Micronesia and as a board member for Orange Spark, a nonprofit bridging the skills gap within the creative economy. She also dedicates her time to faith-based community initiatives with New Hope Oahu. An avid golfer and scuba diver, Ms. Chung resides in Honolulu, Hawaii.
