Betty Jang is a distinguished senior legal executive with extensive leadership experience in both private and public sectors. She is the founder of BYJ Law LLC, a boutique law firm specializing in general counsel services for high-growth companies. Ms. Jang has held the positions of Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel at multiple public and private companies, served at a national law firm, was an adjunct professor in trial advocacy, and began her career as an assistant public defender.

Ms. Jang has been appointed twice by the President of the United States, with subsequent confirmations by the U.S. Senate, as a Member of the Board of Trustees for the Harry S. Truman Scholarship Foundation. In this role, she governs and identifies emerging leaders, shaping the future of governance and public service. Additionally, she has been consistently selected by U.S. Senators to serve on their District Judicial Selection Committee. Since 2009, across four presidential administrations, Ms. Jang has played a pivotal role in advising on lifetime judicial appointments, advocating for a more inclusive federal bench, and advising on U.S. Marshal and U.S. Attorney appointments for the District.

Beyond her professional achievements, Ms. Jang is deeply committed to community service and mentoring.
