Prior to Selbyton, Aaron was Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Valparaiso Capital Partners, a regional Asia-focused private equity firm based in Singapore. Valparaiso and its predecessor entities have invested in Asian businesses for three decades, providing institutional investors with specific direct equity participation while acting as the sponsor and principal. Institutional investors have included sovereign wealth funds, public and private university endowments, insurance companies, private equity funds, and multi-family offices. 

He received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Master of Arts in Economics from Boston University. Aaron served as Vice Chair of Singapore American School’s Singapore Foundation Board in 2020-2024 and is now serving as President of the US 501(c)(3) Foundation Board. He previously served as a Board member of the American Association of Singapore and the American Club of Singapore.
