His expertise comes from over 15 years as a qualified Gender and Race DEI Subject Matter Expert and Crime Victim Advocate who provides thought leadership with a high-impact experience in driving cultural change through academia, public health research, community engagement, program management, guided trainings, and public speaking. In addition to having delivered lectures of more than 30 sections of 14 different undergraduate-level courses at a multitude of academic institutions, community-based organizations, businesses and funding agencies throughout the world, his scholarship has included work throughout North America, South America, Africa, and Asia.
He earned a B.A. in Sociology from Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA, and Ph.D. in Medical Sociology from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. A native of Georgia, he currently resides in Atlanta, GA and enjoys traveling, engaging in critical conversations about current social and political events, and exploring diverse foods through cooking as well as consuming Asian and Southern style cultural and local favorites.
