Philip Kim is Senior Director of Public Affairs at Comcast, where he works at the intersection of government, community, and business to strengthen partnerships and advance shared priorities. His career has spanned public service, politics, education, and civic engagement, with a consistent focus on building coalitions, expanding access, and helping institutions connect more meaningfully with the communities they serve. Philip previously served as a commissioned officer in the White House, holding roles including Special Assistant to the President and Director of Political Engagement in the Office of Political Strategy and Outreach, Director of Employee Engagement and Leadership Development, and Senior Advisor in the Office of Public Engagement.
Before joining Comcast, Philip also proudly served in the U.S. Department of Education and AmeriCorps in the Biden-Harris Administration, the Biden-Harris Transition team, various presidential campaigns, the Democratic National Committee, the Democratic National Convention Committee, and Congress. He began his career as an organizer and later as a secondary mathematics teacher, experiences that continue to shape his approach to leadership. Philip is the proud son of a Korean immigrant family, a UC Berkeley alum (Go Bears), and a lifelong basketball enthusiast and avid music fan. He lives in Maryland with his wife and their two dogs, Kobe and Canela.
