National Korean War Veterans Armistice Day Reception
You are cordially invited to a reception on Capitol Hill to commemorate the National Korea War Veterans Armistice Day on July 27th, at the Rayburn Foyer from 6:25 pm -8:00 pm (candlelighting at 7:27 pm).
There will be performances, featuring Korean American youth who performed at the ROK State Arrival Ceremony at the White House in April, and South Korean students who won a letter-writing competition to thank Korean War veterans around the world.
We’re grateful to the Korean American Members of Congress (Reps. Young Kim, Andy Kim, Michelle Steel, and Marilyn Strickland) for serving as honorary co-hosts of this special event marking the 70th anniversary of the Korean War Armistice and US-Korea relations.
The event is being jointly organized by leading Korean American organizations, including the Council of Korean Americans (CKA), Korean American Grassroots Conference (KAGC), Korea Economic Institute of America (KEI), and the Judith Ehm Foundation, with Remember727.
We hope you will join our united effort to remember the Korean War and honor the sacrifices of the veterans as we hope for peace on the Peninsula.
