Anne Lee Benedict serves as Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer and Secretary of Summit Materials, Inc. (NYSE: SUM), a leading U.S. based construction materials company headquartered in Denver, Colorado. Prior to joining Summit Materials in 2013, Anne was a corporate partner in the Washington, D.C. office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, where she advised clients in a wide range of industries on M&A and other complex strategic transactions, capital markets transactions, securities regulation matters and corporate governance matters. Anne graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1999. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Psychology from the University of Michigan in 1995.
Anne currently serves on the Board of Directors of ACC Colorado, co-chairing its Chief Legal Officer Committee, and serves as Chair of the N-Gen Advisory Board to the Board of Directors of MCCA, a national organization dedicated to advancing diversity in the legal profession. She previously served on the Boards of Directors of APABA DC and KABA DC and as Co-Chair of the Mergers & Acquisitions Committee of the Corporations, Finance and Securities Law Section of the DC Bar.
