Yona Andrews is a Program Coordinator at the Council of Korean Americans (CKA). Yona works closely with the management team to ensure the implementation and success of all CKA’s events and initiatives.
Yona was a 2019 CKA-KALCA Public Service Intern, during which period she was a full-time summer intern at CKA. Prior to CKA, Yona studied at the University of Alabama at Birmingham where she obtained her B.A. in International Affairs and a minor in Political Science. During college, Yona was involved with various nonprofit organizations, includingCircle K International where she served as Club President and Lieutenant Governor. Previously, Yona was a Political Affairs intern at The Borgen Project, an organization that aims to make global poverty and humanitarian issues a priority in U.S. foreign policy. Yona is a second generation Korean American born and raised in Enterprise, AL. She currently lives in Washington, DC.
