Sandor Hau is a Managing Director at Charlesbank and he oversees the firm’s opportunistic credit investing. He was a Managing Director and Head of Corporate Credit and Special Situations at Nomura Securities International. Previously, he was the Head of High Yield and Distressed Credit Products.

Before joining Nomura, Sandor was a Managing Director at Goldman, Sachs & Co. where he worked in a variety of roles in investment banking, fixed income and equities. For about 10 years, he worked in the Principal Strategies Group where he invested in public/private credit and equity. He held a number of leadership roles including Portfolio Manager and Head of the Capital Structure Arbitrage Group and the Principal Finance Group. Earlier in his career, Sandor worked in the Asian Special Situations Group and the Leveraged Finance Group.

He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, serves as co-President of the Korea Finance Society and is an alumni mentor for Sponsors for Educational Opportunity.

Sandor earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He was also a Rotary Scholar at Yonsei University in Korea.
